Facial contouring
Facial Feminisation: Non-Surgical and Surgical Options
A respectful overview of individual planning, botulinum toxin, fillers, surgical options, limits and risks.

There is no standard female face
Faces vary in bone, soft tissue, skin, movement and ageing regardless of gender. Responsible consultation starts with personal goals and rejects the idea that particular features must automatically be corrected.
Similar anatomical questions may matter to trans, non-binary and cis people. Identity alone is not an indication; wellbeing, goals and medical suitability are discussed separately and respectfully.
What fillers and botulinum toxin can change
Hyaluronic acid filler may temporarily influence selected contours such as cheeks, lips or chin. Botulinum toxin may alter muscle activity in suitable anatomy, for example in the masseter or expression areas.
Filler cannot make bone smaller, and botulinum toxin does not remove fat or excess skin. More product does not automatically create a more harmonious result.
Plan across the whole face
Front, profile, three-quarter view and movement all matter. Teeth, bite, hairline and neck may influence perceived proportions. A staged approach allows reassessment between steps.
Where surgical options begin
Permanent change to the forehead, jaw, chin or nose may need specialist surgical advice. Surgery offers different possibilities, recovery and risks from injections. Minimally invasive procedures are not an equivalent substitute for every structural goal.
Safety and realistic goals
Filler risks include swelling, nodules, infection and rare vascular occlusion with tissue injury or visual symptoms. Botulinum toxin can cause unwanted weakness and asymmetry. Before-and-after simulations are planning images, not guarantees.
Frequently asked questions
01Does facial feminisation always require surgery?
No. Injections may temporarily influence some proportions; structural or permanent goals can require surgical advice.
02Can filler make the jawbone smaller?
No. Filler adds volume and does not alter bone.
03What matters most in planning?
Personal goals, whole-face proportion, movement, risks and a realistic scale of change.
