Nutrition and nutrient intake may also play a role. Instead of giving a general standard recommendation, the consultation considers which changes fit the person's circumstances and may be medically appropriate.

PRP, also known as autologous plasma, or exosomes may be considered as regenerative scalp treatments. The differences and possible procedure are explained during the consultation and assessed individually.

Depending on the cause and findings, medication such as minoxidil or finasteride may also be discussed. Suitability, the specific medication, and possible risks and side effects are reviewed personally with the medical team.
